Sunday's Message, January 22, 2017

Let It Grow, Let It Grow, Let It Grow

In July, 1945 Hollywood was going through a heat wave.  Lyricist Sammy Cann and composer Jule Styne imagined a different kind of weather and wrote:

Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful

And since we’ve no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

In late January, early February the song was the number one hit in America.
I’d like us to sing a different song at El Camino Baptist Church:

And since we’ve some place to go, Let it grow, let it grow, let it grow!

This Sunday I’ll be preaching, “Let it Grow!  Let it Grow!  Let it Grow!” about how to grow our church and to grow spiritually from Ephesians 4:1-16.  Even if the weather outside is frightful, please come to Sunday School or Bible Study for all ages at 9:00, and worship at 10:30.  It’ll be worth your time and effort!  Every time you’re at church it has an impact on eternity.  Every time you aren’t there we miss you and it hurts a little.  Your presence is of eternal importance!

Let me know how I can help you grow spiritually while together we help El Camino Baptist Church grow for God’s glory.

With love in Christ,
Dr. Jim Meek
