Prayer for Fellowship in the Body of Christ

...we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. Ephesians 4: 15-16 (NLT)

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. Colossians 3: 12-14 (NLT)

...make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.
Colossians 2:2 (TLB)

...Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. Ephesians 4: 29b (NLT)

...Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. Philippians 2: 3b-4 (NLT)

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3: 16-17 (ESV)

Lord, I lift up my Prayers for the Family of God,
Give us an intense desire to always speak the truth in love as we grow in every way more and more like Christ who is our head and our example; who makes us fit perfectly together as we use the gifts
you have given us to do Your work and to help others grow so that the body is healthy and growing and full of love.

Lord, we are Your holy people who you dearly love. Help us to prove we are yours by clothing ourselves
with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, and patience. Help us to make allowances for other’s faults and be forgiving, as you have been forgiving of us. And most of all let us put on love for it is love that binds us all together in perfect harmony. May our obedience to You bring great joy to your heart as we practice being agreeable with each other, loving one another and working together with one mind and purpose.

Lord, remind us to guard our speech, as everything we say should always be good and helpful and be of encouragement to all who hear them. Help us also to remember to be humble. May we purposely think of others more than ourselves and show a genuine interest in the things that concern and interest them. Let our words and our actions resemble your words because we love your Word and put it into practice in our lives. May we use your Words to teach and encourage others in all wisdom as we speak and lift our voices in song and praise that comes from a grateful heart.

May everything we do in word and action, glorify the name of our Lord Jesus Christ as we give thanks to God our Father - Amen.

SERVICE is an important part of our Ministry at El Camino Baptist Church.

What Happens When We Serve: Giving yourself to ministry and service will not only impact the lives of the ones you are serving, but it will also have a drastic impact on YOU as well. As we give ourselves to the Lord in service we become partners with God in His plans and purposes. As partners, we become more tuned to God’s passion and the building of His Kingdom. What could be more exciting than this? Join Him at Serving at El Camino. Praise the Lord!
