Mickey Guyton sings like an angel. She has blazed new trails by being one of the few female Black singers to succeed in Country Western music.
Mickey was raised singing in church. After she had a baby, her boy became septic at 9 months old and had to be taken to the hospital. For 2 weeks she stayed with him, praying for his recovery. He miraculously recovered. This changed her life forever.
She has been nominated for a Grammy, she’s in a Hallmark movie, “Grand Ole Opry Christmas,” she appeared on the Hallmark float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, and she’s just released an album, “Feels Like Christmas.” On the album you can tell that she’s truly worshiping God as she sings, “O Holy Night.”
She’s received the gift of her son’s life, and it’s caused her to worship the King.
Sunday I’m preaching on “Receive and Worship” from Luke 2:1-20. We’ll talk about “Receive the Gift Amidst Tribulation,” verses 1-7; and “Worship the Gift-Giver,” verses 8-20. Let’s gather and worship the King from whom we’ve received eternal, abundant life, plus a multitude of other gifts.
Thanks to all those who made the Nativity a big success! God gave us great weather and a wonderful turnout. I was amazed at how hard our people worked, and how beautifully it was received. Thanks for helping us with this unique worship experience!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNER SIGN-UPS
We need help with our Wednesday Night Meals for the Winter/Spring 2026. By volunteering for at least one Wednesday night, we can insure no one is doing all the work.
Click here or use the QR code below for the dates we need help. If you could put together and lead a team one or more times we would greatly appreciate it.
This entails shopping (the church will pay the bill), preparing a meal for about 70 children and adults, and cleaning up. Betty Allen will meet with you and help you understand the commitment.
