LOSE ALL FEAR IN THE FACE OF THE GIFT
December 28, 2025
World War I was horrific beyond words. Trench warfare was ghastly. Yet on Christmas, 1914, carols were sung throughout the German trenches. The English and French warriors then echoed the sound with their own carols. Then soldiers began to emerge from the trenches to offer Christmas greetings and exchange presents with the enemy. They even played soccer with each other.
When the commanders found out, they called a halt to the overtures of peace. Nevertheless, the celebration of the gift of God’s son began to wipe away the fear in the hearts of the participants.
Sunday I’m preaching on “Lose All Fear in the Face of the Gift” from Revelation 1:9-20. We’ll look at “Recognize Christ’s Presence,” verses 9-13; and “Revel in the Light of Christ’s Presence,” verses 14-20. Please join us as we combat after-Christmas blues by worshiping the king! His birth is the greatest gift ever given!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNER SIGN-UPS
We need help with our Wednesday Night Meals for the Winter/Spring 2026. By volunteering for at least one Wednesday night, we can insure no one is doing all the work.

This entails shopping (the church will pay the bill), preparing a meal for about 70 children and adults, and cleaning up. Betty Allen will meet with you and help you understand the commitment.
