Happy Mother's Day
CARE
My wife, Nancie, is in the hospital for her third surgery on her back. Please pray for her.
The care at U.C. Davis has been incredible! My highest compliments go to one of the nurses who visits us at home. She is an angel. She’s so kind and competent! And she rallies the Occupational Therapist and Physical Therapist to offer excellent care.
I had the great privilege of praying with her to receive Christ, and to follow up with her by encouraging her to read a chapter a day of Mark, John, Acts and Ephesians. I then encouraged her to use PACT: Praise, Ask, Confess and Thank, for her daily prayer guide. I also got to pray with her for her mom who’s ill.
My prayer is that our church can be as kind and helpful as the people who are caring for Nancie.
Sunday I’m preaching on “Care” from Exodus 2:1-10. We’ll look at “Care for Your Child,” verses 1-2; “Let Go of Your Child (More or Less),” verses 3-8; and “Continue to Care,” verses 9-10. It’s Mother’s Day, so we’ll be looking at Moses’ mother, and learning to care! Please join us!
