TRUST AND CRY OUT

Mary Lawal was 8 years old when she first tried to take her own life. She would attempt suicided four more times. Now she’s 22 years old and majoring in psychiatry at Prince George’s community college in Maryland. She has dedicated her life to helping others. She’s encouraging people to call 988 if they’re contemplating suicide. Professional help is available. She experienced hospitalization, medication and therapy to help her. She also said, “God has me now. He was always there. That’s why I’m alive.”
When we’re feeling depressed, we must take advantage of the many resources that are out there. And the greatest resource is God. He will work through his Spirit and others to give us hope.
Sunday I’m preaching on “Trust God and Cry Out” from Jeremiah 17:5-14. Jeremiah knew what it was like to battle depression. Let’s learn from him and others. Please come this Sunday and grow with us.
