During the Golden Age of Television (the 1950s), there was a series called, “The Millionaire.”  In each episode John Tipton would give a check for $1 million to his Executive Secretary, Michael Anthony, to give to someone who needed the money.  That $1 million would be $11.7 million today!

You never saw Tipton’s face.  You only saw the back of his armchair and his right arm, righting the check and giving it to “Mike.”  Then the billionaire would say, “I want a full report.”  The rest of the show revealed how sudden wealth affected the recipients.

Today God, who “owns the cattle on a thousand hills,” wants to give away eternal, abundant life.  But he wants us to be the ones distributing this wealth, a wealth far greater than the mere money given away in “The Millionaire.”

Will you invite people to receive this eternal gift?  Sunday I’m preaching on “Invite” from Revelation 22:16-21.  We’ll look at “Recognize Jesus,” verse 16; “Invite with the Spirit,” verse 17; and “Receive Christ with Grace,” verses 18-21. A week from Sunday is our church’s 70^th Anniversary!  Let’s invite as many people as we can to celebrate this great day!  After church there will be cake, photo ops and wonderful fellowship.
