Dr. Meek accepted the call to El Camino Baptist Church as full-time senior pastor, October of 2016. He comes to us having served in four churches over the last 40 years. Dr. Meek received his Masters of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. He and his wife, Nancie, have three children and 3 grandchildren. Jim has a passion for history, teaching and evangelism.

Cheyenne accepted the call to El Camino in January of 2018 as a part-time minister. She has served in four churches and different ministries (Bible Study Fellowship and La Roca Ministries) and in various roles over the past 20 years. She received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from University Phoenix and her Masters in Organizational Management from Ashford University. Cheyenne serves as the staff manager, Operations manager, ministry overseer, Community Partner liaison and currently acting as the Children’s Director.

Greg Horton

Greg has served and attended El Camino since 2008 and accepted the call to ministry as a part-time youth leader in January of 2018. Greg also has experience serving in another church Bay area.  He grew up serving in Boy Scouts of America, and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Greg attributes many of his values and service-oriented attitude to his years in Boy Scouts. Greg truly enjoys getting to work with the youth and other youth leaders to teach them to love God and develop them into future leaders.

Kimberlyn Horton

Kimberly has grown up in the church and has served in various roles within the church. As of June of 2019, she stepped up for the Nursery & Preschool Director position. She has received a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and has experience in serving  in another church in the Bay Area where she realized her passion for Missions. She now blessed El Camino as being a strong advocate and leader on our Missions Committee.

Jafet Estevez

Jafet has grown up at El Camino and was interested in serving in ministry when he had the opportunity to help in the sound booth as a youth. In 2013 his family was asked to start a Hispanic ministry and lead a Spanish speaking service as an extension of El Camino in order to better serve the community. Jafet stepped up as a leader around January 2015 taking on many roles; Chairman of the Missions Committee, Leader of the Men’s ministry and the Young Adults Small Group Leader.

Office Administrator/Discipleship Director

Carl Turner

Carl accepted the call to El Camino in March of 2020 as a part-time Office Administrator. Carl has served in the United States Air Force  and after completing his military service, he began studying for the ministry completing his Bachelors in History with a Minor in Pastoral Ministries and Political Science from Ouachita Baptist University. Carl has many years of experience serving in other churches. Carl also serves as a deacon and the Discipleship Director which includes Sunday School, Life Group Bible Studies, and Singles Ministry.
